Introducing Our Board.
The Hobart Chargers are a dynamic community organisation powered by some of the greatest minds and biggest talents in Tasmania.
I always loved my basketball, have a strong view that former politicians should make a volunteer contribution to their community.
And it's great to have a project with my own kids: Matilda works on the merchandise stand, Hudson loves the game and players and the clinics and the Derwent Entertainment Centre.
David's day job is in the Tech sector, working with startups, a non-executive director, & keynote speaker.
Corporate Governance, Association Secretary and Public Officer
The Hobart Chargers are essential to basketball in Southern Tasmania. I believe strongly in the need for a variety of development pathways for local basketballers to go from juniors into semi-professional and professional basketball. Without the Hobart Chargers, the gap from local basketball to elite is too big.
Robyn's day job is Senior Manager, Tasmanian State Service.
I volunteer for the Chargers because Anthony Stewart asked me 😃.
I thought that it would be fun and challenging and it has certainly proved to be both! I think that I have learned a lot, from someone who didn't know how many people played on a team, or how long a game went for!
I have a long way to go, but what I love so far is the commitment to the Club by so many people and the genuine interest building in our NBL Ready campaign.
Monique's day job is Sales Manager at Symbion.
