The Telstra Hobart Chargers continued their dominance at home on Friday night with a convincing 30-point victory over the Albury Wodonga Bandits.
The Chargers entered the game hoping to lift the defensive intensity and spark the offensive, after being slowed down on the road in the previous two matches.
The home side pressured the Bandits ball handlers to force 17 turnovers, which led to easier baskets in transition.
The Chargers kept the bandits to 83 points while piling on 113 points of their own.
The scoring attack was spread out evenly across the team, with ten individual scorers and six of the rotation players scoring 15+ points. Analyse the game's stats here.
Rob Heyer was outstanding, leading all scorers with 23 points on an incredibly efficient 8-10 shooting (5 threes).
Lewis Thomas was also important, with 15 points, 9 rebounds and a couple of rim-rattling dunks that excited the home crowd.
The Chargers play at home again this coming Friday and will be hoping to continue their dominance at the DEC.
The DEC has been a fortress for the Chargers so far this season and the support from the home crowd plays a massive part in the team's success.
